Little Summit Corner Space
The Little Summit Corner Space is a thoughtfully designed wooden activity and play space that provides children with a defined area for imaginative play, quiet engagement, social interaction and supported learning.
Measuring 80cm L x 80cm D x 80cm H, the compact design makes the Little Summit Corner Space ideal for classrooms, early learning environments, therapy settings and home spaces where creating functional activity zones within limited floor space is important.
The enclosed design provides a clear physical boundary while maintaining visibility through the open window areas. This can help create a more defined environment for children who benefit from having a dedicated place to focus, engage in activities or step away from a busy environment.
The maple-look laminate finish, durable plywood construction and softened edges create a professional, contemporary appearance suitable for education, allied health and home environments.
A comfortable sage green upholstered floor cushion provides a supportive surface for reading, imaginative play, creative activities and quiet engagement.
Designed for Flexible Use
The Little Summit Corner Space can be incorporated into a wide range of learning, play and participation environments.
The external shelf provides a practical surface for role-play scenarios such as a shop, café, reception area or service counter. These activities can provide opportunities to practise communication, turn-taking, cooperation, decision-making and problem-solving.
Inside the space, children can use it for:
- Reading and book-based activities
- Imaginative and role play
- Quiet individual activities
- Small-group interaction
- Pretend shop or café play
- Creative learning
- Communication activities
- Structured educational activities
- Supported engagement
- Taking time away from a busy classroom environment
For educators and therapists, the Little Summit Corner Space can become part of a broader inclusive learning environment, supporting flexible approaches to participation and engagement.
Supporting Participation and Independence
The Little Summit Corner Space is more than children's play furniture. It can be incorporated into purposeful learning and participation opportunities.
Role-play activities can encourage children to practise communication, turn-taking, cooperation and functional social interaction in an engaging environment. The defined internal space can also support children who benefit from having a predictable area for individual or supported activities.
For OTs, allied health professionals and educators, the space can be incorporated into environments designed around participation, engagement, functional learning and independence.
For families, it can provide a dedicated area where children can read, create, play and interact within the home environment.
