The Penguin Rocker is a versatile balance and movement board designed to support balance, coordination, body awareness and gross motor development through active, purposeful movement.

With two textured anti-slip footplates and a curved polypropylene design, the Penguin Rocker provides opportunities for children to explore controlled rocking, lateral movement, spinning and forward motion. These activities can help develop the foundational movement skills needed for participation in play, sport, classroom activities and everyday physical tasks.

The curved rocker design encourages children to engage their core and lower-body muscles while developing postural control and dynamic balance. Children can experiment with different movement patterns at their own pace, making the rocker suitable for structured movement activities as well as independent exploration.

For education settings, the Penguin Rocker can be incorporated into gross motor programs, movement breaks, obstacle courses, physical education activities and active learning environments. It can also be used by occupational therapists and allied health professionals as part of activities targeting balance, coordination, motor planning and body awareness.

The rocker can be used for a range of movement activities, including gentle side-to-side rocking, controlled balancing, penguin-style waddling and spinning on suitable smooth surfaces. These different movement possibilities can provide opportunities to practise motor planning, weight shifting, bilateral coordination and controlled movement.

For children who benefit from movement opportunities throughout the day, the Penguin Rocker can be incorporated into sensory-motor or regulation activities where appropriate. Providing purposeful opportunities for movement can support engagement and participation in learning and play.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor environments, the Penguin Rocker is manufactured from high-grade polypropylene and supports users up to 80kg. Its compact approximately 55cm width makes it practical for classrooms, therapy spaces, early learning environments, recreation areas and home use.

Colours are supplied randomly.

Why Choose This Product

The Penguin Rocker provides a simple and versatile way to incorporate balance, movement and gross motor development into everyday environments.

Its curved design creates opportunities for children to practise weight shifting, postural control and coordinated movement without requiring a large piece of specialist equipment. This makes it particularly practical for schools, therapy rooms and home environments where space may be limited.

For OTs and allied health professionals, the Penguin Rocker can be incorporated into purposeful activities targeting balance, coordination, motor planning and body awareness. For educators, it provides an adaptable resource for gross motor programs, movement breaks and active learning.

Most importantly, the Penguin Rocker supports active participation rather than passive use. Children can explore different ways of moving, develop confidence with physical challenges and participate in individual or group activities.

Its durable polypropylene construction, anti-slip footplates and generous 80kg weight capacity make the Penguin Rocker a practical addition to education, therapy, recreation and home environments where movement and gross motor development are important.
