The Acupro Acumat® Wide Sensory Walkway is a durable, washable sensory surface designed to provide tactile stimulation, movement-based sensory input and opportunities for body awareness through walking, standing and appropriate hands-on exploration.

Featuring 1,120 Acu-Cones across a three-layer, high-density EVA foam construction, the Acupro Acumat® Wide Sensory Walkway provides a highly textured surface that can be incorporated into sensory pathways, movement activities, therapy programs and inclusive learning environments.

At 185cm long x 66cm wide x 2.5cm high, the wide format provides a generous surface for walking activities. Users can move across the walkway at their own pace, making it suitable for structured sensory circuits, movement stations and supervised tactile exploration.

The raised Acu-Cones create a distinctive textured sensation underfoot. This provides an opportunity to explore differences in tactile feedback while incorporating movement, balance and coordination into purposeful activities.

For occupational therapists and allied health professionals, the Acupro Acumat® Wide Sensory Walkway can be incorporated into sensory-motor activities designed around tactile exploration, body awareness, coordination, balance, movement planning and sensory feedback.

In schools and early learning environments, the walkway can form part of an indoor sensory pathway or gross motor circuit. It can be used as a dedicated movement station or incorporated into activities where learners are encouraged to walk, pause, stand and explore different sensory surfaces.

The walkway also offers flexibility beyond floor-based use. With integrated hanger eyelets, it can be stored conveniently when not required and, when appropriately secured using suitable mounting hardware, can be positioned vertically to create a tactile sensory wall surface.

Where appropriate, the walkway can also be cut into smaller sections for individual sensory applications, such as positioning beneath a desk or workstation for standing or tactile exploration. Any modification should be undertaken carefully and in accordance with the intended use of the product.

The washable surface makes the Acupro Acumat® Wide Sensory Walkway particularly practical for shared environments such as schools, therapy practices, sensory rooms and community spaces where equipment may be used regularly by different people.

The Acupro Acumat® Wide Sensory Walkway provides a flexible resource for creating sensory-rich environments that encourage active participation, movement, exploration and engagement without requiring a permanent sensory pathway installation.

Why Choose the Acupro Acumat® Wide Sensory Walkway?

The Acupro Acumat® Wide Sensory Walkway provides a practical way to introduce a strong tactile surface into sensory and movement-based activities.

Its 185cm x 66cm wide format provides ample space for walking activities, while the 1,120 Acu-Cones create a distinctive textured experience that can be incorporated into sensory pathways, gross motor circuits and structured movement activities.

For OTs and allied health professionals, the Acupro Acumat® Wide Sensory Walkway provides another flexible option when designing sensory-motor experiences around tactile exploration, body awareness, balance, coordination and movement.

For schools and early learning centres, the walkway can transform a section of floor space into an interactive sensory pathway without requiring permanent installation. It can be incorporated into movement stations, indoor obstacle courses, sensory circuits and dedicated sensory spaces.

The washable construction is an important practical advantage for shared environments where equipment needs to be cleaned regularly.

The Acupro Acumat® Wide Sensory Walkway also offers versatility beyond a conventional floor mat. Hanger eyelets allow convenient storage, while appropriate wall mounting can provide an alternative vertical tactile experience.
