Build N' Balance Tactile Walkboards - set of 3
Please note: (Balance Discs sold separately)
The Build n’ Balance Tactile Walkboards are a versatile sensory movement resource designed to expand the Build n’ Balance system with added tactile input, balance challenge and gross motor skill development. Created for use with compatible balance tops, the Build n’ Balance Tactile Walkboards provide an engaging way to support coordination, stability, body awareness and movement confidence across education, therapy and home environments.
Each board features a distinct textured walking surface in two-toned colours, allowing users to experience different tactile feedback underfoot while navigating a balance pathway. This sensory input can help increase foot awareness, proprioceptive feedback and confidence with controlled movement, making the Build n’ Balance Tactile Walkboards a valuable addition to occupational therapy programs, movement-based learning, sensory circuits and gross motor activities.
The Build n’ Balance Tactile Walkboards attach to compatible balance tops to create elevated pathways that can be arranged in a straight line or configured into varied courses to suit the user’s skill level, confidence and therapeutic goals. This modular setup supports progressive challenge and encourages users to adapt to changes in direction, surface texture and elevation, helping build dynamic balance, motor planning, postural control and lower body strength.
Ideal for schools, early learning environments, allied health settings and home programs, these tactile walkboards promote purposeful movement through exploration and repetition. They can be used barefoot to encourage sensory exploration and stimulate circulation, or incorporated into obstacle courses and movement circuits focused on gross motor development, coordination and confidence in movement. For NDIS participants and therapy clients, the Build n’ Balance Tactile Walkboards can support functional outcomes related to balance, sensory processing, participation in movement activities and increased independence with physical play.
Made from solid, durable plastic, the boards are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and are easy to clean between users. Their sturdy construction, textured grip surface and flexible setup make them a practical resource for therapists, educators and families looking to create movement opportunities that are both engaging and purposeful.
Please note: balance tops are sold separately.
