The Tactile Balance Stones & Beams set is a versatile gross motor and sensory resource designed to support balance, coordination, body awareness and sensory processing through active movement. Featuring 20 modular pieces with varied textures, heights and colours, the Tactile Balance Stones & Beams can be arranged into obstacle courses, stepping paths and movement circuits that encourage children to explore tactile input while developing confidence in movement.

Ideal for schools, therapy clinics, early learning environments and home use, the Tactile Balance Stones & Beams provides an engaging way to combine physical activity with sensory exploration. Children can step, balance, stretch, navigate and create their own pathways while receiving valuable proprioceptive, vestibular and tactile input. This makes the set particularly useful for children who benefit from movement-based learning, sensory regulation opportunities and gross motor skill development.

Each piece is designed to challenge stability and coordination in a safe, purposeful way. The varied beam textures help strengthen sensory discrimination and tactile awareness, while the different heights and pathway configurations encourage motor planning, balance reactions, lower body strength and bilateral coordination. Whether used as part of an occupational therapy program, a school movement circuit, a sensory path, or a home-based obstacle course, the Tactile Balance Stones & Beams supports meaningful functional development through play-based movement.

The modular design allows educators, therapists and families to tailor activities to suit a child’s developmental stage, support needs and goals. Children can use the set individually to practise balance and movement sequencing, or in group settings to build turn-taking, teamwork, confidence and participation. For NDIS participants, allied health professionals, teachers and carers, the Tactile Balance Stones & Beams offers a flexible way to support physical development, sensory integration, motor coordination and active engagement across a range of settings.

Made from durable PE plastic and featuring non-slip surfaces for added safety, this tactile balance set is built for repeated use in busy classrooms, therapy rooms and home environments. It is a practical addition to sensory spaces, movement programs, obstacle courses and gross motor play areas where the goal is to support movement, independence and participation in a fun but purposeful way.
